🌱 Welcome to neur0loom
@davidkroutart URL: neur0loom.xyz, gofundme.neur0loom.xyz or www.gofundme.com/neur0loom It is a zero. --- I want to share a little of how neur0loom came to be. A few years ago, I learned I was autistic later in life. At the same time, I was facing serious health challenges and wasn’t sure I would make it through them. During that period, I started trying to understand myself better... and in doing so, I began paying closer attention to how neurodivergent people are treated, both online and in the world around us. I found moments of connection, but I also saw how often people were misunderstood, dismissed, or pushed aside for asking questions or expressing themselves differently. I experienced that myself. And while it was painful, it also made something very clear to me: there had to be a better way. I didn’t want to build something out of anger or resentment. I wanted to create something rooted in care, patience, and understanding. That’s how neur0loom began... as a small idea shaped by creativity, reflection, and the belief that people deserve to be met with compassion instead of judgment. What started as conversations and personal exploration slowly grew into characters, stories, and a broader vision for a space where neurodivergent people could feel seen, supported, and respected. Today, neur0loom continues to grow as a community centered on empathy, learning, and connection. It exists to remind people that difference is not a flaw — it’s a form of richness. And that everyone deserves a place where they belong. As neur0loom grows, I hope to expand it into many forms of creative and community-based work which includes storytelling through animation, comics, and games; educational resources; and spaces for conversation, learning, and mutual support. The goal is to build something that helps people feel seen, understood, and less alone. I’m also exploring ways to grow this into a sustainable, community-centered project... one that can eventually support education, accessibility, and creative opportunities for neurodivergent people and those who care about them. For now, this is about building something kind, thoughtful, and human... one step at a time. If you’d like to support or simply follow along, it truly means more than I can say. #gofundme #neur0loom #DavidK? #autism #ADHD @neur0loom™ ♬ original sound - David K?
neur0loom is a community-centered project built to create safer, more understanding spaces for neurodivergent people. It grew from lived experience — from wanting a place where curiosity, care, and different ways of thinking are welcomed rather than questioned.
At its heart, neur0loom is about connection. Through storytelling, creative projects, and shared resources, the goal is to make neurodivergence easier to understand and more fully supported — for individuals, families, and anyone who wants to learn with empathy.
This project is still growing. The support raised here helps cover the tools and infrastructure needed to keep it accessible and sustainable, including accessibility features, creative tools, moderation support, and the time it takes to build and maintain a safe community space.
Your support helps make it possible to:
- Create and share inclusive educational content
- Maintain a safe, moderated community space
- Develop creative projects that reflect neurodivergent experiences
- Build toward long-term resources and accessibility
Thank you for being here and for supporting a kinder, more inclusive future.
